The recently updated European Academy of Paediatric Dentistry (EAPD) MIH policy document is now available for aetiology, diagnosis and treatment guidance, while the MIH Treatment Need Index provides further information on treatment. In this article, the present approaches of anteriors treatment using resin infiltration, microabrasion, and relevant combinations with other minimally invasive procedures are presented. Posteriors treatment is more evidence based, when using composite resins built-ups, preformed metal crowns and onlays. Future research into further improvements regarding treatment includes improved adhesion, new materials, and minimally invasive techniques.
